Setting Up Veda AI

Veda AI is your academy's AI assistant suite. Before you can use any of its agents, you complete a short setup that gives Veda a name, a tone of voice, and the topics your institution covers. It sits under Veda AI in the left-hand menu.

[!Important] Veda AI appears only when AI is enabled on your plan. If you do not see it in the menu, AI is not included for your account.

Start setup

Open Veda AI → Configure Veda. The page introduces the agents you will get:

  • AI Companion: a 24/7 study partner that explains concepts and resolves learner doubts in real time.

  • AI Interviewer: realistic mock interviews with adaptive questions and instant feedback.

  • Content Generator: draft lessons, summaries, and assessments in minutes.

  • AI Evaluation: auto-grade submissions against your rubric.

Click Get Started with Veda AI to open the guided setup.

The three setup steps

Setup runs as a short conversation:

  1. Name your AI: give your assistant a name (up to 8 characters, no spaces). For example, "Veda".

  2. Tone and Personality: choose Friendly, Professional, or Casual. This shapes how the AI speaks to learners.

  3. Add Topics and Domain: choose the broad topics your institution covers, from the suggested list (such as IT & Technical Skills, BFSI, Healthcare & Medical Training, Fitness and Wellness, Legal, Personal Development, Exam Preparation) or by typing your own.

Click Finish setup to save.

[!Important] Topics define your AI's scope. Any learner message outside these topics is treated as out of scope. Keep them broad: overly narrow topics hinder the learner experience.

Choose your first agent

After setup, Veda asks which agent you would like to explore first and takes you straight to it. You can enable the others at any time.

Once setup is complete, Configure Veda disappears from the Veda AI menu and is replaced by Usage Analytics and General Settings. To change the name, tone, or topics later, use General Settings.
