Adding Points Manually
Beyond automatic earning, you can credit or deduct points yourself, for one learner or many at once. This article covers the Add Manually screen. Open Engage → Loyalty Program and click Add Manually.
The program must be enabled first. If it is off, this screen shows a "Loyalty Program not enabled" banner and the form is disabled. Enable it in Settings to proceed.
Choose an import mode
Select the mode of import:
- Single Learner: add points for one learner.
- Bulk Upload: add points for many learners from a CSV file.
(If parent mode is enabled, "Single Learner" becomes "Single Parent" and you search parents instead.)
Single learner
- Select learner (required): search by name or email and pick the learner.
- Activity (required): choose why points are being given. The list includes any earning activities you have configured with a value above zero, plus Admin (always available for manual adjustments).
- Points (required): the number of points.
- Selecting most activities auto-fills the point value.
- The Points field is only editable when the Admin activity is selected.
- Enter a positive number to add points, or a negative number to deduct them.
- Comments (optional): a note, up to 250 characters.
- Click Upload Points. You will see "Points added successfully".
Deductions are done by entering a negative number with the Admin activity. There is no separate "remove points" screen.
Bulk upload
- Switch to Bulk Upload.
- Download the sample template to see the required format.
- Fill it in. The activity column accepts these values:
FACEBOOK_POST,INSTAGRAM_POST,TIKTOK_POST(social posts)GOOGLE_REVIEW(a Google review)CUSTOM_EVENT_1(your custom event)ADMIN(referral enrollments, purchases, or any other miscellaneous reason)
- Upload your CSV (up to 2MB, or about 1000 learners).
- Click Upload Points.
If some rows have errors, you can download an error file listing the rows to fix, then re-upload.
Correcting mistakes
Ledger entries cannot be edited or deleted. To correct a wrong entry, add a new Admin adjustment with the opposite amount (for example, a negative value to reverse an over-credit).
