Introduction to Loyalty Program

The Loyalty Program rewards learners with points for actions like signing up, referring friends, posting on social media, and leaving reviews. Learners can then redeem those points as a discount when they buy. This article explains how it works and what you manage.

Where the loyalty program lives

It sits under Engage → Loyalty Program in the left-hand menu.

How it works

  • Learners earn points for specific actions you reward.
  • Learners redeem points as a discount on paid purchases at checkout.
  • You set the point values and the redemption rules; earning and redeeming then happen automatically on the learner storefront and app.

Points are labelled "Points" for learners. Internally and in some exports you may see them called "credits", they are the same thing.

What you manage

There are three screens:

  • Points Ledger (the landing page): a read-only history of points earned and adjusted, per learner.
  • Settings: turn the program on and set point values, caps, and the conversion rate.
  • Add Manually: credit or deduct points for a learner yourself, singly or in bulk via CSV.

How points are redeemed

Redemption happens on the learner side at checkout, as a discount. You control two things in Settings:

  • How many points convert to how much money (the conversion rate).
  • The maximum share of a purchase that points can cover.

There is no points expiry, no minimum redemption, and no per-course redemption restriction in the settings.

Add-ons that change what you see

Some capabilities depend on add-ons enabled for your account:

  • Parent mode: if enabled, the program tracks points for parents instead of learners, and the screens say "Parents" throughout.
  • Social engagement: if enabled, the Settings screen shows extra earning rules for social posts, Google reviews, and a custom event.

Permissions

  • View the ledger and settings: loyalty read access.
  • Enable the program, save settings, and add points: loyalty write access.

Admins have full access. With read-only access you can see the settings fields but cannot toggle the program or save.
