Intorduction to AI Evaluation
AI Evaluation automatically grades learner assignment submissions against your rubric and drafts feedback, which you review before it counts. It sits under Veda AI → AI Evaluation.
What it does
Fair, rubric-based grading: every submission scored against the same clear criteria.
Instant feedback: detailed comments and improvement pointers as submissions come in.
Insights for faculty: spot common gaps and repeat mistakes without combing through papers.
Enable it
If it has never been set up, the page introduces the benefits with an Enable AI Evaluation button.
Once set up, the Enable AI Evaluation switch turns AI grading on or off.
What to do next
Enabling the agent only makes the feature available. You then:
Turn it on per assignment, with your rubric and an optional answer sheet: see Setting Up AI Evaluation on an Assignment.
Review each AI evaluation before saving marks: see Reviewing an AI-Evaluated Submission.
If AI Evaluation is off here, the per-assignment option is disabled and shows a notice telling you to turn it on in AI settings.
