SEO, Publishing & Organizing
Beyond the content, a blog post has search settings, publishing controls, and organization options. This article covers all three, from the remaining sections of the blog editor.
Search Engine Preview (SEO)
The Search Engine Preview section shows how the post will look in search results, with a live preview card. The fields are collapsed by default; click Edit to change them.

- Page Title (required): the title search engines show. Pre-filled from your blog title.
- Description (required): the meta description for search results. Pre-filled from your excerpt.
- URL (required): the slug, shown after
yourdomain/blog/. It is generated automatically from the title, and you can edit it.
Slug rules: it can contain letters, numbers, and hyphens only, must start and end with a letter or number, and cannot contain slashes. You will see an error if the slug breaks these rules.
Write the Page Title and Description for humans and search engines: a clear, keyword-relevant title and a description that summarizes the value of the article. Keep the slug short and readable.
Publishing & Visibility
Set who wrote the post and when it goes live:
Author (optional): attribute the post to a team member.

Publishing (required):
- Draft: saved but not public (the default).
- Publish: live immediately when you save.
- Custom date: schedule it. Pick a date and time; the post publishes then. Use Clear date to remove the schedule.
Mark as featured: highlight the post on the top slider of the blogs page.
Show this blog in recent updates: show the post in the recent-updates section.
Featured and recent updates (promoted) are mutually exclusive: turning one on disables the other. Choose the placement that fits the post.
Tagging & Memberships
Organize the post and control access:
- Categories (optional): assign one or more categories so visitors can browse by topic.
- Tags (optional): add tags for finer classification. Type a new tag and press Enter to create it.
- Memberships (optional): restrict who can view the post to members of the selected memberships. Leave empty for a public post.
Assigning memberships turns the post into members-only content. If you want the article to attract public traffic and help SEO, leave memberships empty.
Save
Click Save Blog to store all of these settings along with your content.
