Writing a Blog Post
This article covers the core content of a blog post: the title, body, excerpt, and featured image. SEO, publishing, and organization are covered in the next article.
Start a new post
Go to Marketing → Blogs and click Create New Blog. The blog editor opens as a single page with several sections. Save with Save Blog at the top right when you are done.
Blog Basic Details
Title (required): the article title, up to 150 characters. Typing here also pre-fills the SEO page title and generates the URL slug automatically.

Content (required): the body of the post, written in a rich-text editor (see below).
Excerpt (required): a short summary, up to 200 characters, shown on your blog and home pages. It also pre-fills the SEO meta description.
If you save with a required field empty, you will see "Please fill all required fields". Title, Content, and Excerpt are all required.
The content editor
The Content field is a full rich-text editor. You can:
- Format text (headings, bold, italic, lists, alignment, colors, line height).
- Insert images (with captions), videos/media, links, tables, code samples, special characters, emojis, and page breaks.
- Use full-screen and preview modes while writing.
Insert an image directly in the body using the image tool. Body images are embedded as you add them.

Structure long posts with H2 and H3 headings and short paragraphs. It reads better for visitors and helps search engines understand the article.
Featured image
The Featured Image (in the Publishing & Visibility section) is the post's cover image, also used when the post is shared.
- Upload a PNG, JPEG, JPG, or WebP.
- The maximum size is 2MB.
- Use Remove to clear it and upload a different one.
The featured image doubles as the social/preview image for the post; there is no separate Open Graph image field. Choose a clear, on-brand image.
Save
Click Save Blog to store the post. Whether it goes live depends on its publishing status, covered next.
