Introduction to Blogs
Blogs let you publish articles on your academy's website to attract visitors, improve SEO, and share updates. This article explains what the blogs module does and the key concepts before you write your first post.
Where blogs live
Blogs sit under Marketing → Blogs in the left-hand menu.

What blogs are for
A blog post is a content page shown on your public website. Use blogs to:
- Publish articles and guides that bring in search traffic.
- Share news and updates with visitors and learners.
- Support marketing with content you can link to and promote.
Statuses
A blog post is one of:
- Draft: saved but not visible on your site.
- Published: live on your site.
You can also schedule a post to publish on a custom date in the future.
The blogs module switch
Beyond individual posts, the blogs module has an organization-level on/off status that controls whether the blog section appears on your learner web and app. If your blogs are not showing publicly, this is the first thing to check (covered in Managing Blogs).
Where a blog appears
A published post lives at a public URL based on your domain, such as yourdomain/blog/your-post-slug, and the blog section itself at yourdomain/blogs. You control the slug (the part after /blog/) per post.
Permissions
Blogs are permission-gated (no specific plan is required):
- View the list and posts: blogs read access.
- Create and edit posts: blogs write access.
- Archive posts: blogs delete access.
Admins have full access. The Create button and edit actions are hidden without write access.
