Managing Issued Certificates
Once certificates are issued, you manage them from a template's issued list. This article covers viewing, publishing, downloading, re-certifying, and editing issued certificates.
Open the issued list
Go to Learning → Certificates and click a template (or its View Details). The certificate's page shows summary stats and the list of learners who have it.

Summary stats
- Serial Prefix
- Validity (a number of days, or "Always available")
- Certificates Issues: total issued.
- Certificates Published: how many are published.
The issued list
Each learner row shows:
- Learner Name (click to open their profile)
- Contact Details
- Course Name
- Issued Date
- Expiry Date (a date, "No Expiry", or expired)
- Status (Published or Unpublished)
You can search by learner, and filter by course, award date, expiry date, and visibility.
Row actions
Open the Actions menu on a learner's certificate:

- Publish / Unpublish: control whether the certificate is visible to the learner. Unpublishing is how you effectively revoke a certificate.
- Download: download the certificate file.
- Re-certify: available only when the certificate has an expiry and has expired. It issues a fresh validity period.
- Edit: available only for manually issued certificates (not automated ones).
To take a certificate away from a learner, use Unpublish. There is no separate "revoke" or "delete" action.
Re-certifying an expired certificate
Choose Re-certify on an expired certificate.

In the Confirm Recertification dialog, confirm and set the new expiry date (a future date).

Confirm. The certificate gets the new validity.
Editing an issued certificate
For manually issued certificates, Edit opens a drawer where you can update the Course/Project Name, Issued Date, start and end dates, and custom fields. The learner's name cannot be changed. Save with Update.
Automated certificates cannot be edited here, since their data comes from the completion criteria rather than manual entry.
Expiry at a glance
- Certificates with no expiry show No Expiry.
- Valid dated certificates show their Expiry Date.
- Past-expiry certificates show expired and can be re-certified.
