Preferences

Preferences are organization-wide settings for learner profiles, content protection, and video/DRM. It sits under Settings → Setup & Customization → Preferences. Save with Save Preferences.

Learner profile settings

  • Class recording for instructors.
  • Enable learner profile editing. When on, these become available:
    • Let learners edit their mandatory fields.
    • Let learners update their profile image.
    • Show profile completion on the dashboard.
    • Restrict access until mandatory fields are filled.
  • Enforce password reset on first login.

The four sub-options only apply when Enable learner profile editing is on; if you turn it off, they are switched off too.

Course content settings

  • Disable YouTube controls (masking).
  • Mask text/HTML in teaching content and in assessments.
  • Leaderboard visibility.
  • Video completion threshold (1 to 100%): how much of a video counts as complete for "complete and continue".

DRM settings

If your plan includes DRM, this panel lets you enable DRM and configure dynamic video watermarking (display duration and time interval), which overlays learner details on protected video to deter piracy.

Use content masking and DRM watermarking together for premium video: masking hides controls, and the dynamic watermark ties any leaked recording back to a specific learner.
