Sales Overview Report

The Sales Overview report shows total sales and how much of it is paid, outstanding, or overdue. This article covers its summary, chart, columns, and how the amounts are calculated.

Open the report

Go to Analytics → Sales & Enrollment and open Sales Overview.

Summary cards

Four cards give the headline numbers (in the selected currency):

  • Total Sales: everything invoiced.
  • Total Paid: amount collected.
  • Total Outstanding: invoiced but not yet paid (and not overdue).
  • Total Overdue: unpaid past the due date.

Sales over time chart

The Sales over time chart plots sales for the selected period, with the total and a percentage change versus the previous period. Switch between a line and bar view, and change the granularity: Day, Week, Month, Quarter, or Year.

The table

Each row is an invoice line, with columns including:

  • Invoice Date, Learner Name, Contact Details
  • Product Name and Installment Name
  • Invoice #
  • Total Amount, Discount, Amount W/O Tax, Tax, Net Amount
  • Amount Pending, Due Date
  • Payment Status and Invoice Status (Active or Cancelled)
  • Item Type, Enrollment Status, Promocode
  • Country, State, Place of Supply

Use the manage-columns option to choose which columns show, including custom fields. A Learner Category column appears if learner categories are enabled.

How the amounts work

  • Total Amount is the gross amount before discount.
  • Discount is any reduction (for example, from a promo code).
  • Amount W/O Tax is the pre-tax amount; Tax is the tax added.
  • Net Amount is the payable amount (after discount, including tax).
  • Amount Pending is what is still owed on that invoice.

So the summary's Total Paid plus Total Outstanding plus Total Overdue reconciles to Total Sales.

  • Quick filters: date, course (and learner category if enabled).
  • Advanced filters: item type, event, membership, payment status, place of supply, and invoice status.
  • Search by learner name, email, or mobile number.
