SMS & Push Templates
This article covers the two remaining channels: SMS and Push notification templates.
SMS templates
Set the channel dropdown to SMS Templates and click Add Template.

Fields:
- Template Name (required): up to 50 characters. It is locked once created, so name it carefully.
- Integration (optional): the SMS integration to send through.
- DLT Template ID (required): the DLT-registered template ID (required for SMS delivery in regions that use DLT).
- Template (required): the message text. As you type, live counters show:
- Char: the character count.
- SMS Count: how many SMS segments the message uses.
SMS length depends on the characters used. Plain (GSM) text allows about 160 characters per SMS; messages with special or non-Latin characters (unicode) allow about 153. The character and SMS counts are estimates, since placeholders are replaced with real data at send time, which can change the final length.
Insert placeholders for personalization as needed, then Save and Continue.

Push templates
Set the channel dropdown to Push Templates and click Add Template.

Fields:
- Template Name (required): up to 50 characters.
- Notification Title (required): the push notification's title.
- Template Body (required): the notification message.
- Image (optional): an image for the notification. Recommended 1080px x 720px, up to 1MB (PNG or JPG).
- Notification Redirect URL (optional): where tapping the notification takes the learner. Include the protocol (for example,
https://www.example.com).
Insert placeholders as needed, then Save and Continue.

Keep push titles short and specific; they are truncated on many devices. Put the key hook in the title and the detail in the body.
