Scheduling Content with Drip
Drip scheduling releases course content gradually instead of all at once. It keeps learners on pace, mirrors a live cohort, and prevents people from binge-finishing and churning. Drip is configured in the Drip tab of a course.

The Drip tab is available when drip content is enabled for your account. If you do not see it, it may not be included on your plan.
Choose a drip type
In the Drip tab, you set the Drip Type, which answers "when will the course content be released?" There are three options:

- Learner Enrollment Date: content unlocks based on how many days it has been since each learner enrolled. Best for evergreen, self-paced courses where everyone starts on their own date.
- Batch start date: content unlocks relative to a batch's start date, so an entire cohort progresses together. Best for live or scheduled programs.
- Specific Date: content unlocks on fixed calendar dates. Best for time-bound launches or events.
Set the release schedule
Once you have chosen a drip type, set the release timing per piece of content:
For Learner Enrollment Date and Batch start date, set a day offset for each resource (for example, release on day 0, day 7, day 14).

For Specific Date, set the exact date each resource becomes available.

Example schedules
- Self-paced with pacing: Learner Enrollment Date, releasing one module per week (day 0, 7, 14, 21).
- Live cohort: Batch start date, releasing each module the morning of its live session.
- Timed launch: Specific Date, unlocking bonus content on a set day.
Drip pairs well with prerequisites. Use drip to control when content appears and prerequisites to control the order learners move through it.
